# About pipeline channels

In Quickbase, use pipelines to automate workflows by connecting different apps and services like Slack, Jira, and Mailchimp. We call these services channels.

## View channels

The Channels page lists all available channels, as well as those in development and in beta. Access it from Quickbase by navigating to Pipelines, and selecting **Channels** from the global bar.

Or, follow these links:

- [US Channels page](https://team.quickbase.com/nav/main/action/pipelines/channels)
- [EU Channels page](https://www.pipelines.quickbase.eu/channels)

## Add channels to a pipeline

To add channels to a pipeline, select **Create pipeline** from the **My pipelines** page. Your list of channels appears in the Pipeline Designer: ![Screenshot of the Pipeline Designer showing a list of available channels to search and add to a pipeline](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/20953162126100.png)

In this view, you can:

- Search for channels.
- Add channels to your favorites, and switch to the Favorites tab to easily access those channels when building pipelines. Channels you connect in pipelines are automatically added to favorites.

When you select a channel, you're shown a list of steps that you can add to your pipeline. These include things like triggers, actions, and queries. Select a step to add it to your pipeline, then select **Connect** to authenticate to any third-party channel.
