# Change your password

You can change your password at any time after you [sign in](/v1/docs/sign-in-to-quickbase) to Quickbase.

> [!NOTE]
> Note: Your realm administrator can determine the minimum requirements for your password. If your realm administrator has not determined the minimum requirements, enter a minimum of seven characters.

To change your password:

1. Select the user menu on the global bar, then select **Profile**.
2. In the My User Information section, select **Change password**. The **Change Password** dialog appears.
3. Enter your old password, enter your new password twice, then select **Change Password**. The password strength gauge will let you know if you have a weak password and whether your password meets your realm administrator's minimum requirements for password security.

If you decide not to change your password, select **Cancel**.
