# Change app names or descriptions

You can rename an app or update the app description at any time.

1. From the **My Apps** page, select the application you want to change.
2. Select **Settings**. You can edit the app name and description directly from this page.

> [!NOTE]
> Note: When changing the app name, the audit logs can be generated with the old app name for up to 24 hours.

You can also change the app name and description within the app properties.

1. From the **My Apps** page, select the application you want to change.
2. Select **Settings**.
3. Select **App properties**, then select **Name & Description** to expand the section.
4. In the **Application Name** and **Description** fields, enter the new name and description.
5. Select **Save**.

> Note: Changing the app name is only a text change; the DBID of the app is not changed.
