# Copy a legacy form

If you're creating similar forms for different roles, don't start from scratch each time. Copy the original form and change settings as desired.

To copy a form:

1. Choose a table from the sidebar, select **Settings**in the page bar, then select **Forms**.
2. Locate the form that you want to copy and select its Copy icon (![Copy icon](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/16298382904468.png)).

Quickbase creates a copy and adds "copy" to the end of the name. Quickbase will append "copy" for the first copy, "copy 2" for the second, "copy 3" for the third, and so on.
3. To change the name, complete the following task:
  1. Select the form, then select the **Properties** tab.
  2. Enter a new name in the **Form Name** box, then select **Save**.
4. Now that you have a copy, you can [change element display settings](/v1/docs/designing-legacy-forms) or [edit dynamic form rules](/v1/docs/creating-legacy-form-rules).
