# Deleting apps

To be able to delete an app, you must either have administrative rights to the app, or be a Billing Account Administrator for the account that contains the app.

**Caution:** You cannot recover the data once the app is deleted.

## To delete an app from the My Apps page:

1. On My Apps, switch to the details view:

2. In the left column, select ![More options icon](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/myapps-moreicon.png) (more), then select **Delete**.
3. Follow the confirmation dialogs to complete the deletion.

## Quickbase won't let me delete an app that appears on the My Apps list. How can I get rid of it?

You can only delete an app if you are its manager or if you're in charge of the account to which it belongs. Since you don't own the app, Quickbase won't let you delete it, however, you can [remove it from the My Apps page](/v1/docs/hide-an-app-from-the-my-apps-page).

## To delete an app from within the application:

1. Open the app that you want to delete.
2. Select **Settings**, then select **App management**.
3. Select **Delete app**.

If you don't see this option, you don't have the right to delete an application.
4. Select **Yes, delete this application**, and then select **OK**.
5. Type YES in the Delete App dialog, and select Delete App to complete the action.

## To delete an app as a Billing Account Administrator:

A Billing Account Administrator can delete multiple applications simultaneously.

1. [Access the Manage Billing Account page](/v1/docs/access-the-account-summary-page).
2. Select the **Apps** tab.
3. Select the checkbox next to the name of each app that you want to delete, and then, on the upper right of the list, select **Delete Selected**.
4. Select **Yes, delete checked application(s)** on the Confirm Delete page.
5. Type YES in the Delete Apps dialog, and select Delete Apps to complete the action.
