# Disable legacy form rules

You can temporarily suspend a form rule by *disabling* it. Disabling a rule gives you the option to reinstate (or *enable*) the rule again at a later date.

To disable a dynamic form rule:

1. [Edit](/v1/docs/edit-a-legacy-form) the form containing the rule you want to disable.
2. Select the **Dynamic Form Rules** tab.
3. Select the rule you want to disable by selecting its ![](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/16298065920404.png) icon.
4. Select **Disable/Enable**.

Quickbase displays a red label to the left of the rule that says **(disabled)**.
5. Select **Save**.

To enable a disabled rule:

Select the rule, and Select **Disable/Enable** again. The **(disabled)** label disappears.

To disable all dynamic form rules:

1. [Edit](/v1/docs/edit-a-legacy-form) the form containing the rule you want to disable.
2. Select the **Dynamic Form Rules** tab.
3. Select **Disable All**.
4. Select **OK**on the confirmation dialog.

Quickbase displays a red label to the left of each rule that reads **(disabled)**, and the button label changes to **Enable All**.
5. Select **Save**.

To enable all dynamic form rules:

1. Select **Enable All**.
2. Select **OK**on the confirmation dialog.

The **(disabled)** labels disappear from the form rules and the button label changes to **Disable All**
