# Reset your password

If you forget your Quickbase password, you can reset it to regain access to your account.

To verify your identity and reset your password:

1. On the Sign in page, select **I forgot my password**.
2. Enter your email address or user name, then select **Reset my password**.

A message displays confirming that Quickbase sent you an email.
3. Open the email and select the link to confirm your password reset. The link is valid for 15 minutes.
  - If you don't receive an email, contact [Quickbase Support](https://www.quickbase.com/support).
4. Enter the correct answer for your security question.
  - If you don't remember your answer, contact your realm admin to [reset your security question](https://help.quickbase.com/docs/change-your-security-question), or reach out to [Quickbase Support](https://www.quickbase.com/support).
  - For some account plans, you can request that your account admin perform the reset instead. Select the link in the password reset email or on the **Choose a new password** page to contact them.
  - You can't finish resetting your password until your security question reset is complete.
  - **Note:** If your account doesn't require a security question during password reset, you'll only need to enter and confirm your new password.
5. Enter and confirm your new password, then select **OK**. The link returns you to Quickbase sign-in page.
6. Enter your email address or user name and your new password to sign in to Quickbase.
