# Change a field into code mode to write Jinja

Change a field to code mode to enter and edit Jinja values.

## Code Mode

To change to code mode, select the `</>` code icon.

## Jinja Editor

In the Jinja editor, your input fields can switch into a code editor. The Jinja editor detects typos.

There are also suggestions for your step references. When you start typing the available fields appear as soon as you select the step ID.
