# Import address data into an address field

> **Importing in pipelines**
>
> To import data using Pipelines, see using copy records in the [Quickbase channel](/v1/docs/use-the-quickbase-channel) and if you need to transform the data or manually enter values, see [Bulk Record Sets](/v1/docs/bulk-record-sets).

Quickbase handles address data a little differently. Each part of an address, such as street, city, state, comprises a subfield in a single Address field, which is important to keep in mind when importing address data.

When you import, you'll be prompted to map your fields to fields within the new table.

![Field mapping screen showing address subfields labeled as Address: in the Field Labels column](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/4572875642004.png)

For each field, you can choose to import that data to an existing field in the table, to create a new field for the data, or not to import it at all. Note that fields mapped to Address subfields are denoted in**Field Labels** as **Address:**. This shows that your address information is being incorporated into the Address field appropriately.
