# Legacy form field types on mobile

On legacy forms, several fields behave differently in the mobile app and mobile web browser than in the desktop app.

| **Field type** | **Viewing records** | **Editing records** |

| **Rich text** | Same as desktop app | - No rich text editor - Content appears with HTML formatting tags |
| **Numeric** | Same as desktop app | Number pad appears |

| **Date** | Same as desktop app | - Tap the field and select a date - Tap outside the component to dismiss date |
| **Date / Time** | Same as desktop app | 1. Tap the field and select a date 2. Tap the time field 3. Use the scroll wheels to select a time 4. Tap Done |
| **iCalendar** | - iOS: not supported - Android: download iCalendar file to device |
| **URL** | - Links for realms open in the mobile app - Links for external domains open in a browser | Field validation checks if the entered data is a valid URL |
| **File attachment** | File attachments open in preview in the app You can download various file types if the app is installed on your device If the app isn't installed, you can download the file, but not open it | You can upload various file types if the app is installed on your device When uploading, you can upload from Files or take a picture with your camera |
