# Make fields stand out

You can make fields stand out by having them appear in **bold**. The fields appear in bold in table reports and in timeline reports.

## To have fields appear in bold

You can set fields to appear in bold using either field settings or [Visual Builder](/v1/docs/visual-builder).

### Use field settings to have fields appear in bold

1. [Open the field's properties page](/v1/docs/change-the-properties-of-a-field-from-a-legacy-form).
2. In the **Display** section, select the **Display in bold** checkbox.

3. Select **Save**.

### Use Visual Builder to have fields appear in bold

1. Open a table, select **Settings**, then select **Structure**. Visual Builder opens with the table expanded.
2. Select the field you want to appear in bold, then use the field properties on the right to select the **Display in bold** checkbox:

3. All changes are saved automatically.
