# Repeat element in custom emails

Use the repeat element to create customized content that repeats per record. With the repeat element, you can create something that mimics some of the capability of the [record changes element](/v1/docs/record-change-element-in-custom-emails) but includes completely customized information.

The repeat element is only available for emails that [send when records are added, modified, or deleted](/v1/docs/send-custom-emails-when-records-are-added-modified-or-deleted). This is because these emails are triggered, and they check for records that match certain conditions.

When you use a repeat widget, Quickbase includes whatever information you put inside the repeat element for each record that matches the conditions, up to 10 records.

![An example of how a repeat widget looks in the UI. It has a repeat label, and then the example text says [Project Name] is assigned to [Assigned To]. Project name and assigned to are field names.](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/26794749707284.png)

To add a repeat element:

1. Select **Add element**.
2. Select **Repeat.**
3. Add any information that you want to repeat for each record, up to 10 records, inside the repeat border.
