# Simplified authentication for the Quickbase channel

You can now start to use simplified authentication with the Quickbase channel. This capability streamlines and further secures the process of connecting to Quickbase apps as it will enable the usage of a default pre-provisioned user account for the realm that respects the user access level, instead of creating and managing user tokens for the apps they want to automate and integrate with. The user access level is based on the user permissions of the pipeline owner.

## Connecting

Click **Quickbase** in the list of channels on the right side of the page and click **Connect to**Quickbase. When finished, click **Connect to Quickbase**.

## Existing pipelines

Any existing pipelines will continue to run using the tokens they were assigned originally unless manually changed.

## Your realm default account

As default, your realm default account is granted access to all the apps that the pipeline builder has access to. You still have the option to authenticate using tokens or to use another account.
