# Transfer ownership of an email

As an app manager or admin, you will occasionally need to transfer ownership of an email. For example, suppose an employee has left the company but is still getting automated subscriptions from Quickbase. Now you can transfer ownership of any email to another user in the app. Also, when a user is denied/deactivated from Quickbase or removed from the app, the automatic emails stop.

## To transfer a single email

1. Complete one of the following tasks to access the email:

An email list displays.
  - For shared emails in a table, open the table that contains the email. Then select **Settings** > **Emails**.
  - To choose an email from any table, select **Settings** from the app Home page. Then select **App management** > **Manage emails**.
  - For personal emails, select your user profile from the Global bar. Then select **Personal emails**.
2. Edit the email by selecting its name in the list.
3. At the bottom of the page, select the **Change**link next to the current owner's name, and choose another user from the dropdown that appears.
4. Select **Save** on the page bar to save your changes.

## To transfer multiple emails

1. Complete one of the following tasks to access a list of emails:
  - For shared emails in a table, open the table that contains the email. Select **Settings** > **Emails**.
  - To choose an email from any table, select **Settings** from the app home page. Then select **App management** > **Manage emails**.
2. Select the checkbox next to the name of each email you want to affect. Then select **Change Owner** at the top of the table.
3. Choose the new owner from the dialog.
4. Select **Change Owner** on the dialog to confirm.
