A marker is a visual representation of a specific location on a map, often represented as a dot, icon, or other symbol. A marker can be interactive and often displays information about the location it represents when clicked or hovered over. A map is a graphical representation of a geographical area, often showing features such as roads, buildings, and landmarks.
