This article covers how to open a form in the Form Builder, save your changes, and release them to users. ## How editing works Edits you make in the Form Builder stay private until you publish them: - **Save Draft** keeps your changes without releasing them. Users keep the published version. - **Publish** releases your changes to users as a new version of the form. Editing a form doesn't change submissions you've already collected. You can open any form in the Form Builder or the Legacy Form Builder. Both builders work on the same form. ## Open a form for editing 1. In the portal, go to **Forms** > **My Forms**. 2. Select **Forms** or **Subforms**, then search for your form. 3. Select **Actions**, then select **Edit Form**. For a subform, select **Edit Subform**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/image-1792604677035.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T05%3A06%3A37Z&se=2026-10-30T06%3A06%3A37Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=g7yAMAq%2FpoGjIrRtuicOxfs96Vh%2FVdosQXlTeNSnfM8%3D) *The Actions panel for a form with Edit Form selected* 1.
