The Global List field lets users choose from a list that's shared across forms. This article covers how to add a Global List field, connect it to a list, and configure its settings.
How the Global List field works
A Global List is a list of choices you upload once to your account and reuse in any form. When you update the list, every form that uses it gets the change. You don't need to edit the forms.
A Global List field connects a form to one of these lists. In the FastField mobile app, users select a choice from a dropdown. You can let them select more than one.
For example, a work order can ask for the Jobsite from your company's list of jobsites. Every team picks from the same up-to-date list.

Note
Global Lists are an older type of shared list and support only one custom column. For new lists, we recommend a Lookup List field.
Add a Global List field
In the Form Builder, select Add Fields in the side bar.
Under Lists, select Global List to add it after the selected field. You can also drag it onto the canvas where you want it.

The field appears on the canvas as Global List Field, and its field settings open on the General tab.

Connect the field to a list
In Field Label, enter the question users see, for example Jobsite.
In Select List, select the Global List you want to use. You can search the list by name.
To let users select more than one choice, turn on Allow Multiple Selection.

To check or change the choices in the list, select View / Edit List. Changes to the list apply to every form that uses it.
To create a list from the Form Builder, select <Create New> in Select List. You can also manage Global Lists in the portal.

Set up the field with the Assistant
You can ask the Assistant to add a Global List field. For example, Add a global list field called Jobsite after Title. The Assistant can also rename and move the field, allow multiple selections, and make it required.
The Assistant can't connect the field to a list. After it adds the field, select the list in Select List yourself.
Note
Assistant changes aren't saved until you select Save Draft.
