This article covers how to add a Video field, choose where videos come from, and configure its settings. ## How the Video field works A Video field captures a short clip and uploads it with the submission. Users can record with the device's camera or pick a video from the device's photo library. You choose which of these to allow. Video is useful when a photo isn't enough. Higher quality creates bigger files, so submissions take longer to upload. ## Add a Video field 1. In the Form Builder, select **Add Fields** in the side bar. 2. Under Multimedia, select **Video** to add it after the selected field. In **Field Label**, enter the name users see, for example *Site Walkthrough*. 2. Under Video Settings, turn on **Allow Camera** to let users record with the camera. Turn on **Allow Photo Library** to let them upload a saved video. 3. Select a **Quality**: *Normal*, *Medium*, or *High*. The default is *Normal*. 4. In **Maximum Length (seconds)**, enter the longest video you allow. Higher quality creates bigger files | | General | Maximum Length (seconds) | The longest video users can add | | General | Required Field | Users must add a video before they can submit the form | | Behavior | Hide Field | Hides the field in the app | | Behavior | Hide Field Label | Shows the field without the field label | | Behavior | Exclude From Reports | Leaves the field's value out of reports. The value stays in the submission data | | Behavior | Enabled | When off, the field is grayed out and users can't add a video | | Behavior | Capture GPS Location | Records the GPS coordinates from when the field was last changed | | Behavior | Capture Timestamp | Records the date and time the field was last changed | | Appearance | Background Color | Gives the field a color. Users see them after you select **Publish**. ## Set up the field with the Assistant You can also ask the Assistant to add a Video field or change its settings. 1. Select **Assistant** in the side bar. 2. Describe what you want, for example *Add a Video field called Site Walkthrough after Description with a maximum length of 60 seconds*. 3.
