It lets you pass a form in sequential order from one user to the next. This is helpful when a form needs to be filled out in stages or in a specific order, as it ensures that each user completes their designated part before passing it along. It is especially useful for forms with complex or lengthy sections that are better divided among different team members. Here are some common use cases of the Forward delivery action: - **Reviews/Approvals:** Forward a form to specific individuals or groups for review or approval. The reviewer will be able to provide feedback, make necessary edits, and (if necessary) forward it to the next person in the approval chain. - **Follow-Ups:** If a form requires further attention or action, you can forward the form to the appropriate personnel. This ensures that the form reaches the right people at the right time for quick resolution. ## How to set up Forward for a single form For a simple way to apply the Forward delivery action to an individual form: 1. Go to the **Form Builder** and select the **Delivery** button at the top. 2. Drag and drop the **Forward** action to the **Form Submit Actions** column. 3. You'll notice **Form Submit Actions (2)** appear under the original action. This is an option you can use to add a workflow to your submission. - This second workflow will only be applied to the *second* submission, not the first. For example, if you use the Email Submitter workflow option, the report will be sent to the second user sent in the submission, not the first. 4. Configure your desired settings under the **Forward** column on the right. - See the Forward Settings section below for more information. ![Forward delivery action in Form Builder showing Form Submit Actions column](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/16430564807181?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T07%3A01%3A30Z&se=2026-10-30T08%3A01%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=08zK3X1Dt2K8RVVKOJVi24CXSz6Y9pbprHQQwSTkRDk%3D) ## Forward settings - **Trigger Alert:** The forward cycle will only occur if the specified [alert](/fastfield/docs/conditional-workflow-alerts-actions) has been triggered. - **Forwarding Options:** You can choose to forward the form based on a list of users, a user group, a field within the form, or an external email/user. > [!NOTE] > **Note** > > External submissions may incur [additional pricing](/fastfield/docs/add-on-features). - **Choose Your Recipient:** You have (4) options for forwarding your form: 1.
