A single form can have [multiple report templates](/fastfield/docs/multiple-report-templates), but unless you specifically choose another template, the report you designate as your default template will be used. By setting the default report template, you can streamline [report generation](/fastfield/docs/downloading-multiple-reports) processes and ensure that the right template is used automatically. ## Set your default report template To designate a report template as your default template: 1. Go to **Forms** > **Custom Reports** in the Portal. Here you'll see a list of all your report templates. 2. Select the **Actions > Default** next to the template you wish to set as your default report template. ![Actions menu with Default option for a report template](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/18165397736845?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T11%3A02%3A01Z&se=2026-10-30T12%3A02%3A01Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=lYKVqL75x6XL1tKO%2FovAjE6sl8Njs7swxD9VdtsXcFE%3D)
