Any FastField employee who needs to get into your account - for support, engineering, or services work, must first submit a request that your account’s approver(s) review and approve. You’ll see who’s asking and why, before granting access, and you choose how long that access lasts. This applies automatically to every account and can’t be turned off.
In rare emergencies, a small number of approved staff can bypass this process and access your account without a request. Every use is logged and audited, and your admin approvers are notified by email when it happens. You can also review any impersonation activity on your user activity page.
Approving or Denying an Access Request
Open your account’s access-request page. Either:
Click the link in the request email, or
Sign in to FastField and go to Account > Access Requests.
Review the requester’s name and stated reason for access.
Choose Approve or Deny.
Select a duration if approving - from 1 hour up to 1 month, or unlimited for long-term engagements.
Confirm.
The requester is notified by email, and if approved, access ends automatically once the duration passes or you revoke it early from the same request.
Tip
Multiple pending requests can be selected and approved or denied together using the bulk-action control, if several people need access at once.
Changing Who Can Approve (Approver Type)
By default, every admin on your account receives access request emails and can approve them. If you have many admins, you can choose specific approvers so only a smaller group is notified and responsible for reviewing requests. This is a notification preference, not a security lock, and any admin can change it at any time.
Navigate to your account’s access request settings.
Choose a mode:
MODE | WHAT IT MEANS |
|---|---|
All Admins Can Approve | Every admin on your account receives requests and can approve them. This is the default. |
Specific Admin Approvers | Only the admins you designate receive requests and can approve them. Requires at least 3 admins on your account. |
If you chose Specific Admin Approvers, select the admins who should be approvers.
Save your selection. You can switch modes at any time without affecting requests already in progress.
