This article describes how to set up a **Zap** to "trigger" a **lookup list** update in FastField from a document stored in your **Dropbox**. ![Zapier workflow showing Dropbox trigger and FastField Update Lookup List action](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/18731823052813?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T08%3A04%3A15Z&se=2026-10-30T09%3A04%3A15Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=tvT%2FgXVb9rMEhsrPbTqbhpsblEdrMH4zjyr12SgxcXA%3D) To set this up: 1. Add **Dropbox** as the trigger app. 2. Select **New File in Folder** as the trigger. 3. Specify a folder for Zapier to check. This will be the folder you place your doc in. Be sure to set *Include file contents?* to **Yes** before continuing. 4. Test your link to Dropbox. 5. Add **FastField** as the action app. 6. Choose **Update Lookup List** as the action. 7. Connect your Fastfield account. 8. Edit your template. Choose the list you want to update, as well as the file you wish to update it with. For the file, choose **File (Exists but not shown)** from the drop-down list. 9. Test your Zap. First Make sure that your list in Dropbox is in some way different from the list that already exists in FastField. Then, send through a test and confirm that the list was updated. 10. Name your Zap and turn it on. Zapier will then check every 15min to see if a new file has been added to the specified folder in Dropbox and, if so, update the list in FastField.
