This will provide your recipient(s) with a map that has a **pin** on the precise location of the task, as well as **GPS coordinates** and a link to **navigational directions** to the task site. ## How to assign a location to a task When creating a new task ([single task](/fastfield/docs/dispatch-a-single-task), [multiple tasks](/fastfield/docs/uploading-multiple-tasks), mobile tasks), you'll be presented with the option to assign a location. To do this, you can: - **Search** for the location by name or address. - Use the map to manually **pin** the location. ![Map showing a pinned task location with GPS coordinates](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/8777779527949?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T06%3A04%3A14Z&se=2026-10-30T07%3A04%3A14Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=3%2BJOjbP43rbuLZceeOWKpHjHEt7EDRRcAjaNXPAgK6Q%3D)
