# Use pre-built sample forms or start from scratch

When creating a new form in FastField, you can either **start from scratch** or use one of our **pre-built sample templates**.

## Start a form from scratch

1. Log into the **portal** and go to **Forms** > **My Forms** from the left navigation menu.
2. 3. You're now in the Form Builder.   - You can start by adding a field to your form from the **Add Fields** menu on the left.

## Use a pre-built sample form

If you aren't sure where to start, you can load a pre-built sample form. You can edit this form, customize it to your needs, and save it for yourself.

To access a sample template:

1. Log into the **portal** and go to **Forms** > **My Forms** from the left navigation menu.
2. 3. A list of a variety of pre-built sample templates will appear for you to choose from. Select the sample template that best fits your needs.
4. Your sample template will now appear in the **Form Builder** for you to customize to your liking.

## Need a different sample?

Feel free to request a different sample than what's offered. You can make your request on the Forms page of the portal by selecting **+ New Form** > **Sample** > **Request a Different Sample**, or [email our form-sample team](mailto:formsample@mergemobile.com).
