QB Maps Batch email notification creation
To automatically calculate the lat and long, or the distance between two locations, you need to create an email notification in the address tables for your QB Maps extension.
Make sure that your Quickbase account can send out open email notifications. If it is not able to, you will need to reach out to Quickbase with a support ticket and ask them to modify your account to allow you to create open email notifications. By default, this feature is turned off.
Once you have access to create an open email notification, select +New Email notification.
Select your Trigger Field to be whatever you would like to cause QB Maps to run.
If you want to geocode to get the lat and long, you can set this to the address fields to always have an up-to-date lat and long.
If you want to calculate the distance using a button, learn how to set up a button to trigger the distance calculation.
