After we release an update to the Extensions Portal, those saved copies can make a page look broken. For example: - The company list is empty. - Buttons do nothing. - A page shows old content or doesn't finish loading. Try a hard refresh first. If that doesn't fix it, clear your cache. ## Hard refresh (try this first) A hard refresh reloads the current page and skips the saved copy. - **Windows:** press **Ctrl+F5**, or **Ctrl+Shift+R**. - **Mac:** press **Cmd+Shift+R**. In Safari, press **Cmd+Option+R**. ## Empty Cache and Hard Reload (Chrome and Edge) This clears the cache for the current site only and reloads the page. 1. Press **F12** (Windows) or **Cmd+Option+I** (Mac) to open the developer tools. 2. Right-click the browser's **Reload** button, next to the address bar. 3. Select **Empty Cache and Hard Reload**. 4. Press **F12** or **Cmd+Option+I** again to close the developer tools. ## Clear your cache, by browser These steps clear cached files for all sites. In each browser, choose cached images and files only, so you stay signed in to other sites. Then reload the Extensions Portal and sign in again. ### Google Chrome 1. Press **Ctrl+Shift+Delete** (Windows) or **Cmd+Shift+Delete** (Mac). You can also go to **More** (three dots, top right) > **Delete browsing data**. 2. Set **Time range** to **All time**. 3. Select **Cached images and files**, and clear the other check boxes if you want to keep them. 4. Select **Delete data**. ### Microsoft Edge 1. Press **Ctrl+Shift+Delete** (Windows) or **Cmd+Shift+Delete** (Mac). You can also go to **Settings and more** (three dots, top right) > **Settings** > **Privacy, search, and services** > **Clear browsing data** > **Choose what to clear**. 2. Set **Time range** to **All time**. 3. Select **Cached images and files**. 4. Select **Clear now**. ### Mozilla Firefox 1. Press **Ctrl+Shift+Delete** (Windows) or **Cmd+Shift+Delete** (Mac). You can also open the menu (three lines, top right) > **History** > **Clear recent history**. 2. Set the time range to **Everything**. 3. Select **Temporary cached files and pages** (called **Cache** in some versions). 4. Select **Clear**. ### Safari (Mac) 1. In the menu bar, select **Safari** > **Settings** > **Advanced**, and turn on **Show features for web developers**. In older versions, this is **Show Develop menu in menu bar**. 2. In the menu bar, select **Develop** > **Empty Caches**, or press **Cmd+Option+E**. 3. Reload the page. ## Still not working? - Sign out of the Extensions Portal, close all browser windows, and sign in again. - Try a private or incognito window. If the portal works there, a browser extension or saved data is the likely cause. - If the problem continues, open a [Quickbase technical support case](https://help.quickbase.com/docs/get-help-from-quickbase-technical-support). Include your browser name and version.
