Details Mode
Details Mode allows you to store and view information about the files you upload to your Quickbase app, such as the file's key, file extension, file size, and more. It also gives you the ability to display fields and edit records where your file details are kept. This is used when you have a parent table (sometimes called the "master" table—the table the Document Portal button is on) with a related "details" table (or dependent table) used to store individual Quickbase records for each file you are uploading.
Here's an example using details mode. It shows several columns of data coming from Quickbase fields—Type, Receipt Amount, and Date are all fields on Quickbase records. One of our key features of this mode is that you can include as many columns or fields as you want to view right within the details grid. As mentioned, only 3 fields are specified here, but this is customizable. See Add more columns to display for details.

Below the grid, the File Amount Readout shows 1 - 9 of 9 items, and the Cloud Folder Readout shows where the files are stored, for example Files from my-bucket/bxxxxxxxx_11.
In Details mode you can also edit these records from the portal (see Editing Records) and ask users for values when they upload files (see Set default values for new records).
