Finish
Once the wizard has completed the installation, there is a confirmation page that lists all the fields or tables that were created or updated. It opens with Congratulations, you have successfully installed Document Portal in your Quickbase Application! and a link to the Quickbase Tools Documentation for the features and functionality of Document Portal.
Below that, under The following changes were made to your application, the page shows:
Selected Table—a link to view the parent table you set up (the table you chose in Select Table to Setup).
Added fields to these tables—the fields the wizard created, grouped by table. For example, with a parent table named Parents and a File Details Table named Childs:
Parents: Document Portal and Document Portal - Mobile (the buttons that launch the portal)
Childs: File Name, File Type, File Size, File Uploaded, and Document Portal - File Attachment
The exact fields listed depend on the options you chose in the Document Portal Setup step.
What the wizard created
Table/Field | Type | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
Document Portal (parent table) | Formula - Text, with Allow some HTML tags (button) | Opens the Document Portal for the record in a pop-up window. |
Document Portal - Mobile (parent table) | Formula - URL (button) | Opens the Document Portal in a new window, for phones and tablets. |
Document Portal Directory (parent table; Amazon S3, Dropbox, or Egnyte) | Text | The record's folder in your cloud storage. |
File Details Table (with Store File Details) | Table | One record per file. If you chose to create it, the wizard creates it with the name you entered and relates it to the parent table with a Related <parent table> field. When the wizard creates that relationship, it also adds a report link to the parent table that lists each record's files. |
File Name, File Type | Text | The file's name and type. |
File Size | Numeric | The file's size. |
File Uploaded | Checkbox | Shows that the file was uploaded. |
Cloud Key (Amazon S3, Dropbox, or Egnyte) | Text | The file's key in your cloud storage. |
<File Details Table> - Cloud Directory (Amazon S3, Dropbox, or Egnyte) | Lookup | The parent record's Document Portal Directory. |
View File (Amazon S3, Dropbox, or Egnyte) | Formula - URL | Downloads the file from your cloud storage. When the cloud is Amazon S3, Dropbox, or Egnyte, it opens the file with the Extensions Downloader. |
Document Portal - File Attachment (Quickbase) | File attachment | Holds the file when you chose Quickbase as the cloud. |
With Store on Cloud Only, the wizard doesn't use a File Details Table, so only the parent-table fields are added.
