DocuSign introduced this feature for its clients in Japan, where signing with a stamp is a common practice. It's called sending and signing with [eHanko](https://support.docusign.com/en/articles/Sending-and-Signing-with-eHanko). Our integration now supports this functionality. To do that, add a new signature tag for a recipient and set its **Stamp Type** property to **Stamp**. When a recipient receives an envelope to sign, they see the stamp tag shown in the following image. ![DocuSign signing screen showing the stamp tag a recipient selects to upload a stamp image](https://cdn.document360.io/dd260e4e-10bb-4b66-8fb3-5504c272b904/Images/Documentation/854f9d7f9b-dsstamper.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-04T05%3A22%3A08Z&se=2026-11-04T06%3A22%3A08Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=Q8wHFMW%2FPd8DSO2ehLlLC1CNIKuEdIoK7%2Fn0FCsjnHQ%3D) Once they select the stamp, they're asked to upload an image, which DocuSign inserts into the document. There are a few things to keep in mind before using this tag: - This tag is always required. You can't use this tag as an optional tag. - You can only use this feature with a signature tag (not an initial signature tag). - You have to set the **Stamp Type** property of this tag to **Stamp**. - This feature must be enabled in your DocuSign account, from the sending and signing options section.
