Make sure your Quickbase account can send **Open** email notifications. If your account can't do this, reach out to Quickbase Support and ask them to enable **Open** email notifications for your account. By default, this feature is turned off. (If you already have Courier, this is already turned on.) 2. Once you have access to create an open email notification, select **+ New Email Notification**. 3. Select your **Trigger Field** to be whatever you would like to cause a Text Message to send out. If you want to send the text out using a button, see the [Send Text Message App Button](/quickbase-extensions/docs/send-text-message-app-button) guide to set that up. ### Notification settings You'll need to copy the following information into your Email Notification. We've provided it here so you can copy it correctly. - Copy and paste this text in the **Notify Whom** field: `textmyqb@mail.quickbasetools.com` - Copy and paste this text in the **Subject** field and replace *Your Company Name* with your company name: `Text My Quickbase (Outbound) - Your Company Name` - Copy and paste the Configuration String in the **Custom Message** field. It should look like this: `configid=16 configkey=abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789 recid=[Record ID#] type=textmyqb` - You can get the Configuration String from the ***Text My Quickbase Configurator*** in the portal. - You can also use queries to send text messages to multiple records, such as only child records related to a certain parent record. Use the query= parameter instead of the recid= parameter in the email message. - You can use this link to set up the query to only get the records you want to send to: [Quickbase Queries](https://help.quickbase.com/api-guide/componentsquery.html)
