Files are stored in this account, so use the account your team will own long-term (for example, a shared business account rather than a personal one). - The ability to sign in to that Dropbox account during setup—or the ability to send a link to the person who can. ## Step 1: Create a folder In Dropbox, create the folder you want extension files stored in, and note its name. Each extension creates sub-folders inside it as needed. ## Step 2: Connect in the installation wizard When you set up an extension and choose Dropbox, the wizard shows the **Dropbox Account Setup** step. The first time: 1. In **Dropbox Folder** (required), enter the folder name from Step 1. This becomes your default folder. 2. Click **Generate Refresh Token**. A Dropbox sign-in page opens—sign in to the Dropbox account from Step 1 and allow access. This gives the extensions permission to upload and manage files in your Dropbox. 3. Continue. The wizard verifies the access token before moving on. If you skip the token, you see *You must generate a Refresh Token using the Generate Refresh Token button before proceeding.* If **Dropbox Folder** is empty, you see *You must enter a folder.* > [!NOTE] > Note > > If someone else has the Dropbox sign-in details, right-click **Generate Refresh Token**, copy the link, and send it to them. Once they complete the sign-in, continue the wizard. Once your Dropbox details are saved, later setups don't ask for a token and only show an optional **Override Folder**. Enter a different folder there to use it for that setup only, or leave it blank to use your default folder. > [!NOTE] > Note > > To change saved Dropbox details—for example, to connect a different Dropbox account—submit a [technical support case](https://help.quickbase.com/docs/get-help-from-quickbase-technical-support).
