Exact Forms Plus Batch Processor
Overview
The Exact Forms Plus Batch Processor runs as an offline application that is triggered to execute from a Quickbase email notification setup in your Quickbase app. The functionality in the Batch Processor mimics the functionality in the web version of Exact Forms Plus. The Batch Processor was created to automate the creation of documents and to more efficiently generate multiple record document creation requests. The web-based version of Exact Forms Plus can produce multiple documents in a single transaction, but it has a limit of 50 documents per transaction. There is also a limit to the number of records that can be displayed on a document from a related table or subtable. These limits exist to prevent requests of this nature from running for longer periods of time, which could potentially cause increased traffic on our web servers.

Additionally, the Batch Processor can be used to trigger a document to be generated when an event happens on a particular record or group of records in your Quickbase table. It can run when a single record is changed or when multiple records are changed via grid edit or by importing records into a table.

If you want to automatically create a document without selecting a button, you can use the Exact Forms Plus Batch Processor to complete that task.
Bulk document generation
If you want to create multiple documents using a report query or a Quickbase query to filter the records to process, you can use the Exact Forms Plus Batch Processor to complete that task. This process was developed to handle the creation of multiple documents where the potential for the number of documents to be created in a single transaction exceeds 50. It runs on demand, so you select a button in your Quickbase app the same way you execute Exact Forms Plus, but the process that runs to generate the documents is configured and executed differently. The setup includes creating two new tables in your app that act as the control center for running the Exact Forms Plus Batch Processor. This process can also merge the generated documents into a single document and store that in the control table.
