Question: Why does the map always zoom in on a pin and cause me to lose the overall view?
Answer: Select the Clear button in the lower-left corner of the screen. It readjusts the map to its original view. You can also use the parameter “clickzoom” to have it never zoom in when you click on a pin.
Question: Why is my map taking so long to load?
Answer: This can happen if the map includes a lot of pins, or if many pins still need to be geocoded because their latitude and longitude fields aren't filled in. You can reduce load time by adding more filters to your query so pins you don't need aren't included. You can also use QB Maps Batch to geocode the locations when the address is entered into Quickbase having the time needed to geocode happen in the background.
Question: How do I add more tables to be shown on the map?
Answer: You can run the wizard setup again through the portal, and it will create the needed fields, and also provide you with the clist and query that can be pasted into your existing formula.
