Email notifications
Identify configurations and notifications
You may have many email notifications within your app, or many tables, which makes it hard to find a given notification. The following method helps you quickly find email notifications.
First, go to your App Settings, then go to App Management:

Next, go to Manage Notifications, Subscriptions, and Reminders:

Now you can see all the email notifications for your app.
For this upgrade, you can identify relevant notifications by name or by whether they are sent to any email address containing quickbasetools.com.
Update notifications
Now that you have the email notifications, we can update them. First, go into a notification, and go to the email body. You should see a portion of the body that looks like either configid=Q2:1234 for QB Courier, or configid=1234 for Text My QB. In both cases, 1234 is the Config ID.

Now that you have the Config ID, go to the list of Config Information we provided, and find the relevant Config ID in the Config ID column. Once you find it, go to the Config Key column on the same row, and copy it.

Now, to avoid email notifications inserting unwanted special characters, we suggest using the Source button to modify the email notification body. If you see anything else in the email notification other than the parameters, remove it so that only the text parameters remain, as shown in the following image.

Important
Make sure there are spaces between each parameter, as shown in the image.
After that, you may save the notification. For Text My QB, you must tell us when you update the notification. For QB Courier, once you are done updating all of your notifications, you can let us know.
And that's it—your email notification is now upgraded to use our newest security features.
