To trigger a message with a button, you need two fields: 1. **Formula URL** - Call this *Send Text* 2. **Checkbox** - Call this *Send Text Checkbox* For the Formula URL field, paste in this string and replace *yourapptokenhere* with your own app token: ```plaintext URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&rid="& [Record ID#] &"&_fid_294=0" & "&apptoken=yourapptokenhere" & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() &"db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_EditRecord" & "&rid=" & URLEncode([Record ID#]) &"&_fid_294=1" & "&apptoken=yourapptokenhere" & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() &"db/" & Dbid()& "?a=doredirect&z="&Rurl())) ``` You need to include your own app token in this formula. The number *294* is the field ID placeholder in this example—replace it with the FID of the Checkbox field you created. When someone selects the button, the formula first sets the checkbox to unchecked (*_fid_294=0*), then sets it to checked (*_fid_294=1*), and finally returns the user to the page they were on. Because the checkbox changes to checked on every click, an email notification that uses it as its trigger fires each time the button is selected. Then make sure the checkbox field is set up as the trigger in the email notification. You can also set the Formula URL field to be a button by changing the properties below the formula section.
