You can set a source and a destination from this subset of markers and get the best route between these two points that also passes through the remaining locations in the subset. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Pass the value of this parameter as *True* (case-sensitive) to enable the feature. The following is a walkthrough of how to use the multi-select feature: ### Enable multiselect If you passed the *multiselect* parameter in the URL, the **Enable Multiselect** checkbox appears on the Directions tab, below the **Get Directions** and **Open Google Maps** buttons. Select this checkbox. ### Use the drawing tools Once you select this checkbox, a rectangle will appear on the map for you to move around and adjust. A button on the side bar will let you swap to place a custom shape on the map: - **Rectangle**—Drag the rectangle to move it across the map. Drag the sides to adjust the size and dimensions of the rectangle. - **Custom**—Plot vertices on the map to draw a shape. Click on the shape again to close it up to the first point. You can still modify the shape by dragging the vertices, or dragging side creating a new point in the shape. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Draw the custom shape by left clicking or tapping on the map to plot the vertices. Don't drag to draw the shape. ### Select a source and destination from the shape After the shape is complete, the markers within it appear in the drop-downs for the source and destination, along with a count of unique addresses selected. You can also clear the shape by selecting the **Clear Shape** button, then draw a new shape. ### Get directions between selected locations After you select a source and destination from the drop-downs, then select **Get Directions** to get the best route that passes through all the waypoints in the selected subset. The panel switches to a turn-by-turn **Directions to Destination** view, and the map draws the route connecting the selected markers in order (labeled A, B, C, and so on). ### Open or clear the route Open the route in the native Google Maps app on mobile devices, or the Google Maps web app on desktop browsers, by selecting the **Open Google Maps** button — this opens the same multi-stop route, each selected address as a waypoint, in Google's own directions interface. Clear the route by selecting the **Clear** button to reset the map. ### Show all pins while viewing directions If you still want the pins from the other locations to show, include the *&ddShowAll=True* parameter in the URL to continue displaying those pins while the directions are shown.
