It shows the sender, your message, the document, the agreement ID, and the expiration date, with a **Click to review** button that opens the agreement. It also has an unsubscribe link. See [Unsubscribe and resubscribe](/quickbase-extensions/docs/unsubscribe-option). - At the bottom, under **Alternative Signing Method**, the email shows an **Access Token**. See [Open the agreement with the access token](/quickbase-extensions/docs/the-signing-interface#access-token). - If the recipient has an access code, JuicedSign sends a second email with the code, right after the signing request. See [Access codes](/quickbase-extensions/docs/access-codes). - An in-person (captive) signer gets no email. The signing page opens on the sender's screen after **Send to JuicedSign**. See [In-person signer](/quickbase-extensions/docs/agreement-creation#in-person-signer). ## Open the agreement 1. The recipient selects **Click to review** in the email. 2. If they have an access code, the **Enter your access code** page opens first, instead of the document. They enter the code from the second email and select **Enter**. The code is case-sensitive. See [Access codes](/quickbase-extensions/docs/access-codes#what-the-recipient-sees). 3. The document opens. - The link can be opened a limited number of times. After that, the recipient sees a message that the link has reached its limit and that a new email is on its way. See [When a signing link stops working](/quickbase-extensions/docs/manage-agreements#link-limit). - If the agreement can't be signed anymore, the recipient sees a **WHOOPS!** page with the reason: - *The agreement you are attempting to sign has been voided.* The sender voided it, or someone chose Print & Sign or declined. - *…has been completed.* Everyone has finished, or this recipient already signed. - *…has expired.* - *…has a wrong status information. Please contact the sender.* For example, it isn't the recipient's turn yet. ### Open the agreement with the access token If the button in the email doesn't work, the recipient can use the access token instead. 1. Copy the **Access Token** from the bottom of the email. 2. Go to juicedsign.com and select **Access Documents**. 3. On the **Access your Agreement** page, paste the token in **Access Token** and select **Retrieve Agreement**. The access token isn't the access code. The token replaces the link in the email; the access code is the extra check some recipients enter after opening it. ## Agree to sign electronically - The document opens with a window: ** has sent you a document for review**. - The recipient checks *By checking this box, I agree to the terms and conditions, and I agree to use electronic signatures.* and selects **Continue**. - **terms and conditions** opens the **JuicedSign Electronic Signature Customer Disclosure**. - Checking the box marks the recipient as **Opened** and records the time, IP address, and device. - Without agreeing, the recipient can still use **More Options** in this window: download the PDF, Print & Sign, Decline to Sign, or Finish Later. ## Fill in and sign - The page shows *Please review the documents below.* The toolbar has page navigation and zoom. - **Start** jumps to the first tag the recipient must fill in, and becomes **Next** for the following ones. The current tag has a red border. - Signature and initials tags are yellow buttons, **Click to Sign** and **Click to Initial** (or the sender's own button text). They turn green once done; the × clears them. - Other tags are boxes, date pickers, lists, and checkboxes. See [Document tags](/quickbase-extensions/docs/document-tags#tag-types). - An approver sees **Approve** and **Decline** buttons instead of a signature. See [Approve or Decline](/quickbase-extensions/docs/document-tags#approve-or-decline). ### Adopt a signature 1. The first time the recipient selects a signature tag, the **Choose Your Signature** window opens. For an initials tag, it's **Choose Your Initial**. 2. Under **Verify your name and initials before signing**, the window shows **Signer's Full Name** and **Initials**. The recipient can change them only if the sender used an editable tag. 3. The recipient picks one: - **Select Style**: their name in one of five signature fonts. - **Draw**: sign with the mouse or a finger in the signing area. The reset icon clears it. 4. They select **Save**. - JuicedSign uses the same signature for every other signature tag, and the matching initials for every initials tag, without asking again. - Initials are always a typed style. If the sender allowed only one way to sign, the other tab isn't shown. See [Choose how recipients sign](/quickbase-extensions/docs/agreement-creation#signature-options). ## Finish - **Finish** becomes available when every signature, initials, and required tag is done, and Approve is selected if there's an Approve or Decline tag. - After **Finish**, the recipient sees **Congratulations! You're all set.** If your account has a **Landing Page URL**, they go there instead. See [Account settings and senders](/quickbase-extensions/docs/management-portal). - JuicedSign stamps the signature and entries on the document, saves the entries to your record, and emails the next recipient. When the last recipient finishes, everyone gets the signed document. See [Emails and the certificate](/quickbase-extensions/docs/email-messaging). ## More Options | Option | What happens | | --- | --- | | **Download Pdf** | Downloads the document as it is now, with any earlier signatures. JuicedSign records the download. | | **Finish Later** | Leaves the agreement without finishing. The recipient can come back with the same email link, as long as it hasn't reached its limit. Entries aren't kept; they fill in the document again. | | **Decline to Sign** | After **Continue**, the recipient must give a reason, up to 500 characters, and selects **Decline to sign**. The agreement is Declined and stops. The recipient sees **You have declined to sign.** | | **Print & Sign** | For a recipient who wants to sign on paper. After **Continue**, the document downloads and the agreement is voided, because JuicedSign can no longer verify it. The recipient sees **You have decided to sign offline.** and returns the signed paper to the sender themselves. | ## Tips for recipients - Sign one agreement at a time in a browser. To sign two at once, use two different browsers, or a private window for one of them. - Finish within about 20 minutes. After a long pause, the page can time out, and the recipient has to open the link again and start over. - The signing page works on phones and tablets as well as computers. ## What JuicedSign records - For each recipient: when the agreement was delivered, opened, and signed, and the IP address and device used. - In the agreement history: Opened, Downloaded a copy of the PDF before signing, Opted to Finish Later, Approved, Declined, Opted to Print And Sign Offline, and Completed. - The recipient's statuses show on their JuicedSign Recipients record. See [Recipient statuses](/quickbase-extensions/docs/3-juicedsign-tables-explained#recipient-statuses).
