Checklist for connecting to an SFTP server

This topic refers to functionality that is not available to accounts on the Quick Base Essential plan. If the functionality described here does not match what you're seeing in Quick Base, your account is probably on this plan.

You can connect to folders containing CSV files stored on your SFTP server and sync data into a connected table in your Quick Base app.

If you haven't connected to an SFTP server before, or you're having trouble connecting, you may want to ask your IT department or your SFTP administrator to help

  • Connection Name: you can assign any name
  • Host: the host name or IP address of the SFTP server. If your host uses a port other than 22, you can also append the port number after the host name/IP address, for example:
  • Username: your SFTP username
  • Password: the password for your SFTP username

Tip: These are the same values that you would use to connect directly to your SFTP server using a client tool such as FileZilla. You may need to consult your IT department to get these values.
