If you have a long list of users who need to access your application, you don't need to enter each person individually. Quick Base lets you share with many users at once through the Import Users feature. You can import a maximum of 400 users at one time (10 users for a trial user).
Import users by either:
Pasting a list of addresses. You can type or paste in a group of email addresses.
Importing addresses from a file. You can import email addresses from a .csv, .txt, or Microsoft Excel 2007 or later (.xlsx) file. The file should contain only a list of email addresses.
Choose Users from the Table bar, then click the arrow on the Share app with new user button and choose Import Users.
Add users by completing either of the following tasks:
Paste a list of addresses
in the text entry area.
Separate these addresses with a semi-colon, comma or return.
example, you could copy and paste a long list of addresses from
the To: field in one of your email messages.
If any of these addresses show up in their extended format (like
John Doe <firstname.lastname@example.org>)
don't worry about it. Quick Base parses the list of addresses and
delivers your invitation.
Note: If quotes appear in the extended format (for example, "John Doe" <jdoe.example.com>), delete them before clicking Next. Otherwise, Quick Base can't import the address and you receive an error message.
Import addresses from a .csv, .txt, or .xlsx file.
Click the Import from a File button at the bottom of the dialog box.
Browse to and select the file containing your addresses and click OK.
Choose a role to assign the users to.
Quick Base displays a table listing all the users in your list. If any users have existing Quick Base accounts, their user names also appear. Users that you add do NOT need existing Quick Base accounts.
Use one of the following options to invite users to share your application:
If the list contains all the correct names, click Confirm.
If you want to generate an invitation email to all users, even those with an existing Quick Base account, click Confirm and Invite.
Existing users also receive an alert on their My Apps page.
If the list contains a mistake, click Start Over.
Quick Base returns to the previous page where you can make changes to your list.
Tip: When your application has lots of users, you may want to organize them in groups to make your job easier. For instance, if you're adding a lot of users at once, you could create a group, add users to it and then share your application with that group. After that, use groups to determine who can see what information in your application by assigning a role to each group.
