Planning your app before you build is a useful exercise to help clarify your needs and identify ways you can customize your Quickbase experience.

Choose a method

Method	Description
Quickbase AI	Describe the app you want to create and Quickbase AI generates a customized, ready-to-use app, including tables, fields, and relationships.
Templates	Download pre-built apps from the Quickbase Exchange that are designed for common use cases, such as project management or CRM. You can customize Quickbase Exchange apps to fit your specific needs.
Import spreadsheets	Upload an existing spreadsheet, and Quickbase uses AI to convert your data into a structured app. It creates tables, fields, and relationships based on your spreadsheet layout, helping you transition from Excel faster.
Legacy options	Build an app on a visual canvas, import a spreadsheet, or import a Lucidchart diagram and customize your app structure.

Create an app

Select + New app on the My apps page to open app creation options. You can use Quickbase AI to create your new app by selecting the Quickbase AI from the global bar. Options to create an app using Quickbase AI, templates, or importing spreadsheets.
