Beta feature
This is a beta feature, which means we're still developing it. Some functionality may change.
Custom prompts let you save instructions for Quickbase AI and reuse them with a short command. Instead of typing the same request every time, you type / and the name of your prompt. Custom prompts are personal, so only you can see and use the ones you save. You can save up to 25 custom prompts.
Create a custom prompt
Open Quickbase AI
In the left sidebar, select Custom prompts (the pencil icon)
The Custom prompts page lists any prompts you've saved.

Select New prompt
In Command, enter a short name for your prompt, such as overdue-tasks. Start with a lowercase letter, then use lowercase letters, numbers, dashes, or underscores, up to 32 characters. Each command must be unique.
In Description, write one or two sentences about what the prompt does, up to 200 characters. This text appears in the list when you type
/in a chat. Quickbase AI also uses it to match your prompt to a request, so write it the way you'd ask for the result. In Instructions, tell Quickbase AI exactly what to do when you run the prompt, up to 7,000 characters. Name the table to use, how to filter the records, and how to group or sort the results. Instructions guide the response but never appear in the chat.
Select Save

Your prompt now appears on the Custom prompts page and is ready to use in any chat.
Note: To leave the form without saving, select Back.
