Search widgets allow you to search your app's tables right from the app Home page.
Create a Search widget
To add a Search widget to the app Home page, edit the app Home page. Drag the Search widget from the Widget Gallery to your desired location.
The Settings dialog will open automatically.
Configure the Search widget
Use the Search for dropdown to select the table you wish to search.
You can choose to search all searchable fields (the default) or select the fields to search. Select Choose fields to open the Choose Fields dialog.
Search reports
You can also search table reports. When you set up a search widget, in the Search in section, select A report and select the report you want users to search.
Customize the search field
You can change the prompt for a Search widget field by hovering over it and selecting the Edit icon.
Select Save in the Page bar to save your changes.
