QBL version 0.15 overview

This article documents the changes made in QBL v0.15, the objects this version supports, and unsupported elements.

Change log

This release adds support for 29 new pipeline channels: AI Actions, Amazon S3, Asana, Autodesk, Bluebeam, Formstack Documents, Formstack Forms, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Workspace, Jira, MailChimp, Mailgun, Mailparser, Malware Scanner, Marketo, Microsoft Teams, NetSuite, ODBC, OneDrive, OpenAI, QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, ServiceNow, ShipStation, Snowflake, and Twilio.

This release also includes:

A new CustomAppMessages application property for customizing access-denied messaging
A new BotCheckModes property and a required ShowBarcodeScanner property for Forms V2
A renamed ZAxis property (previously XAxis) on 3D scatter charts
An updated list of supported time zones, reflecting changes to Quickbase's supported time zone list

This release also documents properties that have been supported since earlier QBL versions but hadn't previously been documented:

RestrictAccessToNewTablesForThisRole on roles—supported since QBL v0.1
RowNumberVisibility on table reports and DefaultRowNumberVisibility on tables—available starting October 1, 2026.

Limits

QBL v0.15 may experience performance limitations in certain cases. While there are no precise limits or guarantees, Quickbase recommends following these guidelines when using v0.15:

A solution may include 2 apps and up to 30 pipelines, or up to 3 apps with no pipelines
These limits are not guaranteed for larger or more complex apps—performance may vary
If you experience timeouts or performance issues, contact technical support

Unsupported objects

Important
Unsupported objects aren't affected when you use the Solution APIs. When your app includes unsupported objects, updates preserve them in their original state.

These objects aren't supported in QBL v0.15:

Notifications, subscriptions, and reminders
Webhooks (retiring, learn more)
Automations (retiring, learn more)
Actions (retiring, learn more)
Some Pipeline channels (see supported channels)

Unsupported elements

The following table shows supported schema and any exceptions or unsupported elements. Unsupported elements are not included when a solution is exported.

Apps	Temporarily unsupported: Only apps with supported data sources for connected tables can be updated. Connected tables	Connected tables with unsupported connectors are not exported. Connections to third-party sources won't be supported by QBL.
Fields and formula fields	Unsupported fields: vCard fields iCalendar fields These fields are exported with the Unsupported type in QBL. They cannot be created or updated by the QBL. To update or create these fields, do so manually in the Quickbase platform. Formulas that refer to these fields work as long as the fields exist. Because you cannot create unsupported fields using the QBL, tables that have these field types are likely to have a mismatch in field IDs between the QBL representation and the actual application. Pipelines	Pipelines containing unsupported channels are not exported. Learn more about what channels are supported. Additional pipeline channels are planned for future releases.
