Set up a Quickbase Pipelines Microsoft connector

Prev Next

Quickbase Pipelines users can connect to Microsoft channels without any admin setup. However, Microsoft admins can pre-approve the Quickbase Pipelines app for their organization, so users connect without seeing security warnings or approval prompts.

Get started

To connect Quickbase Pipelines to your Microsoft account, a Global Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator, or equivalent admin role must grant tenant-wide admin consent. This allows users in your organization to connect to the Pipelines connector without being individually prompted for permissions.

You can grant admin consent using the admin consent URL or the Microsoft Entra admin center. Use the consent URL if the Quickbase Pipelines app is not yet provisioned in your tenant. If it is already provisioned, use the Entra admin center.

  1. Copy the URL below. Replace <TENANT_ID_OR_DOMAIN> with your tenant ID or domain, and <CLIENT_ID> with the client ID for the connector you want to set up:

    https://login.microsoftonline.com/<TENANT_ID_OR_DOMAIN>/adminconsent?client_id=<CLIENT_ID>

    Example:

    https://login.microsoftonline.com/contoso.com/adminconsent?client_id=104fefc3-d024-488f-824c-35609c21726a

  2. Sign in with an account that has one of these roles: Global Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator, Application Administrator, or Privileged Role Administrator.

  3. Review the requested permissions and select Accept.

The app's required API permissions must be configured in its app registration before you grant consent. Granting consent before permissions are configured may not grant the expected access.

Use the Microsoft Entra admin center

  1. Go to the Microsoft Entra admin center.

  2. Select Entra ID, then Enterprise applications, then All applications.

  3. Find the Quickbase Pipelines connector app.

  4. Select Permissions.

  5. Select Grant admin consent.

Things to know

  • Tenant-wide admin consent grants the app access to the requested permissions across your entire organization. Review the publisher and permissions carefully before accepting.

  • The Entra admin center method requires the app to already be provisioned in your tenant. If it isn't, use the admin consent URL method instead.
