QB Maps
Features and functionality
Output
A full-screen Google Map with a side drawer containing two tabs. One contains a list of all the locations being displayed on the map and the second allows the users to get the best route between a source and a destination of choice.
Features
The extension allows users to set up multiple queries in Quickbase to get only the required locations from one, two, or as many tables as needed.
Additionally, a predefined radius (in miles) can be set to retrieve only those locations from the database that lie within the set radius.
The pins or markers on the map can be customized. Along with this, the info-window or the pop-up that appears after a marker on the map is selected can be customized to show data that is retrieved from Quickbase.
The extension provides a list of locations that are displayed on the map. A specific marker can be selected from the list or from the map directly to view the information.
The Get Directions tab allows users to set a source and a destination by either selecting the pins to be the source or destination, or by entering the address in the input text box.
The best route can also be viewed in the native Google Maps app on mobile devices or the Google Maps web app on a desktop browser. The extension provides a button to open the native or web Google Maps app.
The QB Maps extension also allows users to create a legend to provide the summary of different pins that are being displayed on the map. This legend can be enabled or disabled by selecting a checkbox on the screen.
