Send on behalf of (SOBO) functionality

Prev Next

Our DocuSign integration also supports Send on Behalf of (SOBO) functionality. The SOBO feature allows you to create envelopes on behalf of other users in your DocuSign account without sharing those users' credentials with us.

You first need to have the appropriate permissions or settings enabled for SOBO.

DocuSign account settings

Follow these steps to enable SOBO functionality from your DocuSign account.

Important

You must be an administrator for your DocuSign account to complete these steps.

  • Log in to your DocuSign account with your credentials, then select Go to Admin in the top right.

Quickbase app settings

If you would like to create envelopes on behalf of other users, you need to pass the email address of the other user as a parameter.

We help you set up this parameter when we set up your app for our DocuSign integration.

Note

You can only create envelopes on behalf of users who are already users on your DocuSign account. The email address must match the email address from your DocuSign account.
