Imagine that you create an application and you include a special table to track your own application management tasks. No other staff members need to see data in this table. However, when your colleagues use the Quick Find feature to search for application information, records from your private administration table appear, confusing everyone.
There's an easy solution. As an application manager, you can prevent Quick Base from searching specific tables in an application when using Quick Find. (If your app only has one table, you can't use this feature.)
Note: This feature prevents a Quick Find operation from searching a table, but if a user conducts an advanced search or creates a report, Quick Base lets the user select and search the table.
Open the table you want to customize from the Table bar, click SETTINGS, then click Advanced settings.
Click Advanced Table Settings to expand the section, if necessary.
Click to clear the Include this table in global searches checkbox.
Tip: If you really want to hide your table, you can also remove the table's name from the Table bar.
