If you’re setting up roles and want to test them, you can create multiple user profiles linked to a single email address. Each user profile has a unique user name. You can sign in to Quickbase using any of your user names to see how role permissions affect different users.
When you set up multiple user profiles, you must choose one as your default account. Quickbase associates this account with your email address. Whenever you or another user enters your email address (such as when signing in or sharing an app) Quickbase uses your default account.
Create an additional user profile
To create an additional user name:
Select your user icon on the Global bar, then select My preferences.
In the My user information section, select Manage multiple user accounts.
In the paragraphs that explain user accounts in the center of the screen, select register with a new user name.
Complete all required fields, then select Register. Quickbase sends a confirmation email.
Open the email and select the link provided to register your new account.
Enter your password to sign in to Quickbase.
Note
In the future, if you want to refer to one of your additional accounts, you must use the user name.
Set your default account
To specify your default account:
Select your user icon on the Global bar, then select My preferences.
In the My user information section, select Manage multiple user accounts.
Under Default account, choose the profile you want Quickbase to associate with your email address, then select OK to save your changes.
