This is a beta feature, which means we're still developing it. Some functionality may change.
Use environments to safely make changes to apps and pipelines before publishing them live. Environments help you test and review work without interrupting active users or impacting production data.
To get started, create or select a solution, then select Create Environments.
Understand environment options
When you create environments, you choose the structure that matches how your team works. You can set up either:
Development | Production
Build your apps and pipelines, then make your changes live to users.
Development | Testing | Production
Build your apps and pipelines, test your changes, then make them live to users
Choose the option that gives your team enough space to build, confirm, and release updates with confidence.
Choose a QBL version
Quickbase Language (QBL) is used to update apps and pipelines as your changes move through environments. Each QBL version supports specific features.
To set the version, open the QBL version menu and select the version you want to use. Quickbase recommends using the default option, which will always be the latest, most complete version of QBL.
