Some fields in your grid report may have certain requirements, such as:
Specific date or time formats
Required entry
Character count limits
Unique values
When you edit a cell but don’t meet its field requirement, the cell is marked and the error is added to a running error list for your reference. You continue editing the report despite any errors, but you won’t be able to save until all errors have been corrected.
Note
Some errors may not be detected until after you attempt to save the report. These errors will be added to the error list at that time.
View and correct errors
When an error occurs, a running error count appears. Select the error count to view the list of errors—which includes the field name, row number (if enabled), and reason for the error. Here’s where to find the error list for each type of grid report:
Standalone grid reports show the error list in the toolbar.

Dashboards with embedded grid reports show the error list at the bottom of the report.

Forms show the error list in each embedded report's toolbar, next to the button to add a new record.
Note: On forms (unlike standalone reports and dashboards), the Save button is not disabled when you have errors. However, you receive an error message when attempting to save, prompting you to fix them.
